This is exactly why we provide professional story guidance. Our interviewers are specially trained to help shy storytellers feel comfortable and discover the gold in their experiences. We’ve never met a life that wasn’t fascinating once we started asking the right questions.
Can we do phone-only interviews?
Absolutely. We offer Zoom, phone, or in-person interviews (local to Bay Area). Whatever makes them most comfortable. Many prefer phone calls as they feel more natural and conversational.
Do you interview in languages other than English?
We primarily work in English, but we’ve successfully guided families where the storyteller speaks English, Ukrainian or Russian and their native language. We can accommodate some bilingual storytelling with advance planning.
Can siblings split the cost?
Yes! Many families coordinate as a group gift. We can provide a single gift certificate with multiple contributors listed, and the final manuscript can be shared with all family members.
